Bruce Robinson’s cult comedy stars Richard E Grant and Paul McGann. It’s the end of the 1960s and two out-of-work actors, Withnail (Grant) and ‘I’ (McGann), subsist on a diet of booze, drugs and fags in their revolting Camden flat. Unfortunately when Withnail’s uncle Monty’s lends the pair a cottage in the country things turn from bad to worse! Famous for many things, including a legendary drinking game, this classic film is often voted as one of the best British film comedies ever made.
